INTRODUCING OUR 2024 TRAINING TOP 🦇

15 Feb by Sam Barnes

“My name is Ralph Bamblett. I am a proud Wiradjuri, Gunditjmara, Bangerang, Wemba Wemba, Taungurong, Ngadjonji Man & I designed the 2024 Yarrambat JFC Indigenous Guernsey.

In my design, I wanted to incorporate the themes & values of YJFC which is Effort, Attitude & Respect & also the community.

I went with a more vibrant & loud approach with the colours but still kept the gold & brown. In the Bat design on the wings & the belly, I put a lot of weaving pattern to represent the strong connection with players, coaches & people involved with the football club. I’ve also put a weaving pattern in the background.

The brown arrow patterns on the bat & the big slashes going through the design are line work that are all facing forward to represent the club moving forward together & also going forward towards & bright and positive future.

I’ve also incorporated the Yarrambat Football oval & the creeks & rivers you got around to represent the community, around the oval are symbols that represent the girls & boys who either play, volunteer or support the football club.

In my design, I’ve put a lot of other designs like the kangaroo marks to represent moving forward & also leaving your mark on what you did for the football club. The orange symbols represent respect & also challenges you are yet to face but will overcome & the dots around the orange mountain symbols represent your journey & what you’ve done.”

Available at our OPEN DAY this Saturday 17 February, 9 – 1pm at the club
